Special challenges each run on their own mechanic: random draws, quizzes, staff-chosen lists, or rules that change per participant. Staff Picks collects recommendations from the AWC staff.

Because the rules vary so much, read each thread's notes in full. Several specials have both a timed mode and an open-ended mode with separate badges.
Tip. Note any per-mode deadlines. A special can be open-ended overall while one of its modes closes on a fixed date.
